Derby Industrial Unit — Cut Edge Corrosion Treatment

Problem: Severe cut edge corrosion across the entire roof, with active leaks at multiple points

This large industrial unit had suffered from progressive cut edge corrosion for several years. The exposed sheet edges had corroded through the pre-finished coating and were allowing water to track into the building at every lap joint.

Our solution: We carried out a full cut edge corrosion treatment across the entire 1,700m2 roof area. This involved cleaning and preparing all sheet overlaps, applying specialist corrosion-inhibiting primer, and sealing every edge with a flexible waterproof coating system reinforced with embedded mesh.

Result: The roof was returned to fully watertight condition with a 20-year guarantee. The client avoided the cost of full re-cladding — saving an estimated 60% compared to replacement.

Milton Keynes Commercial Warehouse — Gutter Lining

Gutter type: Valley gutter between roof slopes
Length: 145 metres
Problem: Failed original gutter lining causing persistent leaks into the warehouse below

The valley gutters on this commercial warehouse had deteriorated beyond repair, with multiple leak points causing water damage to stock stored below.

Our solution: We installed 145 metres of Plygene gutter lining system — a pre-formed thermoplastic liner that sits inside the existing gutter profile.

Result: The gutter system was fully restored with a long-term guarantee. The warehouse owner was able to use the full building area again without risk of water damage.
